Roaring Birthday Card

It's much harder for me to make cards for men than it is for women. Women will like almost anything but with our guys, we've got to be careful not to make anything too girlie. I decided that this lion, "king of the beasts", would be good for my March mannly birthdays.
1.For this card I used the lion from SU! Zoo Review (#122797) set.
2.I colored my image with my Watercolor Pencils (#101879) and Blender Pens (#102845) My Watercolor Pencils are still my favorite medium even though I have the Watercolor Crayons, Pastels, and Markers from SU! They are all great coloring mediums. It's just that the pencils are my favorite.
I cut around the colored area of the lion and mounted him on a 2 1/4" x 3" piece of Old Olive cardstock. (#100702)
3.I used my 3/16" corner rounder (#119871)on all 4 corners.
4. Then I inked the edges with Really Rust Classic Ink (retired).
5.I made the lion pop by backing him with 4 or 5 Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).
6.I adhered the Old Olive to a 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" piece of Night of Navy cardstock (#100867).
7.I cut a 7" strip of striped Old Olive ribbon & tied a knot in the center. I put adhesive on the back of the ribbon & wrapped it around the navy cardstock.
8. The "happy birthday" metal piece I found in one of my drawers. Don't know how long it's been sitting in there! lol About time I used it. IMO, metal always works for men.
