When Pigs Fly

This card from the swap features a cute piggy! This pig stamp actually has wings but I think that it would be easy to add wings to a pig that didn't have them. Stamp with the same color as the pig and then add some blue to it. If you cut carefully, you should be able to make it look like it's all together. A cute way to make a pig fly! The pig is attached with a circle clip connecting the square box and the pig. You could also put the pig up in the air with a small spring behind it. That way it would be a little bouncy!

Feeling Blue

Here is another card from the humorous group of the swap. I love this sentiment.

Biggest Fan

Here is another card from the swap that I was in. This one was from the humorous/encouragement group. I'm going to be on the look out for this stamp. Love it!

I also love the way she did this card. The whole thing is on a beige base card with the opposite corners rounded. I think the way she rounded the opposite corners really gives it a good look. Then she took a little bit smaller brown cardstock for the first layer. I like the way she put 2 different coordinating patterned papers on the brown with a line through the middle. It's always great to be in a swap where the others participating are really talented!

Clay Rose on Birthday Card

I had fun playing with my new White Simply Pressed Clay from SU! I like playing with clay anyway & the SU! clay is perfect for cards & scrapbooking. You tear off a small piece. Drop a dot or two of reinker the color you wish or just do a light rub on your ink pad to pick up the color. Then you work the color into the clay to have a perfect color match for your projects. After you take it out of your mold, let it sit for about 24 hours to air dry.

Bee Well

Here's another get well card that I received in the recent swap I was in. This adorable card has a cute little honey bee that pops off of the card. The artist used a small spring behind the bee for it to pop. The wire is placed through the white cardstock background. Then that is layer on the blue. The spring is taped to the back of the bee.

I love the heart clip that is tied to the  twine wrapped around the card. She also used a honeycomb embossing plate for the background.
If you look closely, you can see that the honeybee's wings are made with 2 heart shaped punches. This card is just too cute. Super job!

Get Well Pills

A few weeks ago, I received my cards from a swap that I was in. I would post the name of the designer but everyone didn't sign their cards so I don't know who did which ones. Just thought that I would share them. I like her use of layers on this card. It gives it a lot of color.

Happy Father's Day

Okay, so I'm a little slow getting a Father's Day card on here but it's not Father's Day yet! lol The past several weeks, who am I kidding, months, had been extremely busy for me. Just as I thought things might slow down a bit, my vegetable garden started producing! And that means canning! So far I've put up 28 pints & 10 quarts of butternut squash, 12 pints of zucchinni, 16 pints of carrots, 24 pints of corn and the tomatoes are just now starting to ripen! I hope I can get all of this done before July 8 when they are supposed to start remodeling my kitchen. I'll have pictures for you when I get to that. Now that will be something to scrapbook.

So here is my Father's Day card for my sweet husband who has been the best father that I've ever known!

Positive and Negative

Here are two cards that I used the same paper for. On the top one I used the positive of the punch and the bottom one, I did the same thing, just used the negative of the punch. Makes paper go farther and cuts down on the time involved.

This birthday card was fun & easy to make.

Bermuda Bay cardstcok
scrap patterned paper
Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set (#115370)

Framelits Window Frame Collection (#129021)
Modern Label punch (#119849)
Word Window punch (#119857)
Brights Designer Buttons (#119747)

I love that SU! has come out with an air dry clay in the 2013 catalog! I love playing with clay. To make this simple arrow, all I did was rub it on top of my Burmuda Bay ink pad to pick up a bit of the colore. Then I work it in until it was the shade I wanted. I rolled our a snake, flattened it and then used a craft knife to cut on both ends. I used my pointed paper piercing tool to write the name on the arrow. Easy Breesy! I use attached it with a bit of double sided tape or adhesive.

To add some color to the inside, after I stamped my greeting, I just put a strip of Washi Tape across the bottom. The greeting, stamped with Bermuda Bay ink, was from a retired set.

Happy Graduation

Here is the graduation card that I made for my granddaughter. I used her school colors. I don't know why they have 3 colors these days. When I graduated from the same school in 1965, the colors were just blue and white. Some where along the way they added red to it.
