Pen and Marker Holder

Materials:

1 box at least 2” x 4” x 61/2” This can be ½ of a cereal box, hot chocolate mix box, cake box, etc.

1 sheet 12 x 12” patterned paper

18” ½” wide ribbon

¼ sheet colored cardstock to coordinate with your patterned paper

¼ sheet white cardstock

Feel Goods stamp set (#129684)

Brights Designer Button collection (#119747)

Top Note Bigz die (#113463)

Labels Collection Framelits (#125598)

Classic ink to match your paper

4 empty toilet tissue rolls

If the bottom of your box does not have a good seal, cover it with clear 2” tape.
1. Cut your patterned paper in ½ to make it measure 6” x 12.”

2. Trim the box so that it is no taller than 5.”

3. Measure each side of your box. Great Grains cereal boxes are 6 3/8” long on the sides and 1 7/8” wide on the ends. Add 1/8” to each measurement.

4. Score the 6 x 12” paper at 2”, 8 ½”, and 10 ½”. You can cut the paper at 10 ½” or allow it to overlap each section.

5. Place tape on all sides of the paper on the back side (the side you don’t want to show).

Top paper should be ½ to 1” taller than the box.

6. Wrap the paper around the box lining the bottom edge of the paper with the bottom of the box.

Snip each corner on the top of the paper so corners will fold easily. Place adhesive on the inside of the paper and fold to the inside, pressing firmly.

7. Decorate your box.

Place tape to the back of the ribbon and wrap it around the center of the box, overlapping the ends. Place one hand on the inside of the box and press down on ribbon and inside of box.

8. Cut top note die from Old Olive cardstock or other color that matches your patterned paper.

Stamp a saying on white cardstock. Using a die from the Framelits Labels Collection, cut out around the saying. Use a sponge dauber and classic ink to rub ink on the edges to highlight it.

9. Thread 2 strands of floss through the holes of a button. Add glue dots to the back and attach it to the bottom left corner.

10. Glue the finished label to the box over the center of the ribbon.

11. Rub ink on the tops of the toilet tissue rolls and place inside of the finished box.
