Joyful Bird

I still need a lot of practice on using the Stampin' Blendabilities but even though I'm not real good with them, that won't stop me from using what I do.

Materials needed:
Bird stamp set  I believe this is by Autumn Leaves
Certainly Celery card stock 3 3/4 x 3 3/4"
Bloom with Hope (#133952)
Kaleidoscope patterned paper (#115680, retired) 4 1/4 x 5 1/2"
White card stock
Blendabilities pens
Memento ink pad (#132708) This is a great black ink. It gives you a good dark color that doesn't smear.
Wild Wasabi ink
Color Lifter (#129369)
Stampin' Dimenionals (#104430)
Corner Rounder

1. Stamp your image and color it with alcohol markers like SU! Blendabilities. Cut the image out around the outside edges.
2. Round the corners on the Certainly Celery square. Adhere the square diagonally on to the patterned paper. Trim off the edges that stick over the card base.
3. Place dimensionals on the back of the cut & colored image. Press it into the center of the Certainly Celery diagonal square.
4. Stamp the greeting from the Bloom with Hope stamp set with Wild Wasabi ink on white card stock. I like the wavy greeting that is with this stamp set. Cut it out and adhere it to the top of the diagonal.
5. Adhere the card front to the card base. Decorate the inside as you wish. On this card I stamped another bird on the left side with Memento ink.

Flower Cart

I know that we are in the middle of the dog days of August and you may not see many flowers blooming right now, but I still love fresh flowers, even if I have to buy them at the grocery store!
Ignore the blue background on this. My scanner is not working right now & I laid it on blue paper when I took a picture with my camera.

Materials needed:
Summer Afternoon stamp set (#126427, hostess, retired)
Perfect Punches stamp set (#120516)
Greenhouse Gala patterned paper (#117167) 4 1/4 x 5 1/2"
Strawberry Slush card stock 3 x 3 1/2"
Strawberry Slush ink pad
White card stock 2 3/4 x 3 1/4" plus for greeting and card base
Blendablities pens from SU!
Memento Tuxedo Black ink
Crochet Flower from Hobby Lobby or craft store
Rosesetts from craft store
Floral punch & embossing punch ( I'm not sure where I got these. They don't have a company name marked on them)
Glue dots
Scalloped oval punch
Extra Large oval punch
Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430)

1. Stamp your image on white card stock. Color with Blendablities or other alcohol markers. Adhere to the Strawberry Slush card stock. Adhere at an angle to the patterned paper.
2. Stamp your greeting on white card stock with Strawberry Slush ink. Punch it out with the scallop oval punch. Punch out an extra large oval from Strawberry Slush card stock. Adhere the greeting on to the strawberry slush oval. Place dimensionals on the back and adhere to the card as shown.
3. The butterfly is a 2 step process. Punch the butterfly from Strawberry Slush card stock. Place this is the embossing punch and press. This will emboss the butterfly. Adhere it with a glue dot on the top left corner of the image.
4. Place glue dots on the backs of the rosesetts and crocheted flower. Place on the card as shown.
5. Stamp or write a note to the inside of the card.
You are ready to send a bright, cheery greeting to your friend.
6. Adhere the card front to the white card base.

Blooming Birthday card

When I saw the "Bloom with Hope" hostess stamp set in the new SU! catalog, I knew I had to get it. So when my sweet hubby asked me what I wanted for our anniversary and my birthday (2 weeks apart), I told him money! That way I was able to order enough SU! from the new catalog that it would qualify for a party & I could get my hostess set that I wanted. I was also able to play with the new SU!Blendabilities Markers that are in the new catalog. I've been playing with them but this is the first "real" card that I've used them on. Hope you like them.

Sorry this card is sitting side ways.

Materials needed:
Bloom with Hope hostess stamp set (#133952)
Crisp Cantaloupe card stock 4 1/4 x 5 1/2"
Lost Lagoon card stock
White card stock
Stampin' Blendabilities markers Daffodil Delight Asst. (#130998)
Color Lifter (#129369)
Memento ink pad (#132708)
Lost Lagoon 3/8" Stitched Satin ribbon (#133672)
Modern Label punch (#119849)
Framelits Labels Collection (#125598)

One cool thing about this card is that you can use it for more than one occassion. The stamp set has stamps for both birthday and sympathy. I think it will work for either one. Here is the card with the sympathy greeting.

It's easy to see what to do to build this card. If you have never used the blendable alcohol ink markers, you may need to practice some before you actually place it on a card or project. With this one, at first I colored the center section (the seeds) the same color as the flower. I didn't like that so I went over it with the light Pumpkin Pie marker. I wasn't sure how it would come out but I think it did ok.
